Authorship Policy

 

The International Journal of Management Science and Operations Research (IJMSOR) establishes clear criteria to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in authorship attribution.

Authorship must be based on substantial intellectual contribution to the research and manuscript preparation.

 

Authorship Criteria

An individual qualifies as an author if they meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Significant contribution to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation
  • Participation in drafting or critically revising the manuscript
  • Approval of the final version
  • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work
  • Individuals who do not meet these criteria must be acknowledged but not listed as authors.

CRediT Contribution Statement

Authors are required to provide a contribution statement following the CRediT taxonomy, specifying roles such as:

  • Conceptualization
  • Methodology
  • Data curation
  • Writing (original draft / review and editing)
  • Supervision

Authorship Integrity

The journal strictly prohibits:

  • Ghost authorship (unacknowledged contributors)
  • Gift authorship (inclusion without contribution)
  • Any detected irregularity may result in rejection or retraction.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Managing communication with the journal
  • Ensuring all authors meet authorship criteria
  • Confirming that all authors approve the submission and final version 

Changes in Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or reorder authors must:

  • Be justified in writing
  • Be approved by all authors
  • Be evaluated by the editorial team
  • Changes after acceptance are only allowed in exceptional cases.

Conflict of Interest and TransparencyAll authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.

Ethical ComplianceAuthorship practices must comply with COPE guidelines and international standards of research integrity.
