Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The International Journal of Management Science and Operations Research (IJMSOR) acknowledges the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scientific research and manuscript preparation. In line with principles of research integrity, transparency, and accountability, the journal establishes the following guidelines.

General principles

  • AI must be used solely as a support tool in research and writing processes.
  • Full responsibility for the content remains with human authors.
  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
  • Authors must ensure the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content.

Use of AI in writing

AI tools (e.g., language models, writing assistants) may be used only for:

  • Language editing and clarity
  • Grammar and style improvement
  • Content structuring

They must not be used to:

  • Generate full manuscripts without human oversight
  • Introduce unverifiable or fabricated content
  • Replace critical analysis

Authors must review and validate all AI-assisted content.

Mandatory disclosure

Authors must disclose:

  • AI tools used
  • Purpose of use
  • Stage of use

This information must be included in the manuscript.

AI in research

When AI is part of the study, authors must report:

  • Model/algorithm description
  • Dataset characteristics
  • Training/validation process
  • Evaluation metrics
  • Limitations and biases
  • Explainability

Ethics and bias

Authors must address bias, limitations, and risks, especially in applied contexts.

Misuse of AI constitutes scientific misconduct.

Editorial control

Editors may request clarification at any stage. Undeclared or improper use may lead to rejection or retraction.
