Informed Consent for Publication

The International Journal of Management Science and Operations Research (IJMSOR) requires strict adherence to ethical principles related to privacy, confidentiality, and the rights of individuals participating in scientific research.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all information included in manuscripts complies with applicable data protection regulations and international research ethics standards.

 1. Protection of identity and anonymization: Authors must ensure that:

  • No information is included that allows direct or indirect identification of participants
  • Identifiers such as names, initials, identification numbers, medical records, digital aliases, or social media profiles are removed
  • All materials (tables, figures, images, videos, audio, etc.) are properly anonymized
  • Appropriate anonymization techniques are applied to both qualitative and quantitative data

Identity protection is mandatory unless explicit consent for disclosure has been obtained.

 2. Informed consent: When manuscripts include personal data, images, or identifiable information, authors must:

  • Obtain prior, explicit, and written informed consent from participants
  • Obtain parental or legal guardian consent for minors
  • Ensure that participants are informed about the purpose, scope, and implications of publication

Informed consent must comply with international ethical standards and responsible research practices.

 3. Statement in the manuscript: For studies involving human participants (e.g., interviews, surveys, focus groups, or experiments), authors must:

  • Explicitly state in the Methodology section that informed consent was obtained
  • Describe the procedures used to obtain consent
  • Explain the measures taken to protect confidentiality and personal data

This statement is mandatory as part of methodological transparency

4. Editorial verification: The IJMSOR editorial team may:

  • Request documented evidence of informed consent
  • Require clarification regarding ethical procedures
  • Suspend the editorial process if ethical compliance is uncertain
  • Failure to meet these requirements may result in manuscript rejection.

 5. Post-publication issues: If identifiable information is discovered after publication without proper consent:

  • The article will be temporarily removed from public access
  • Authors will be required to correct the content immediately
  • A correction, retraction, or partial removal may be issued
  • These actions will follow COPE

 6. Ethical principles: IJMSOR promotes:

  • Respect for human dignity and rights
  • Protection of privacy and confidentiality
  • Transparency in research processes
  • Compliance with international ethical standards
