Editorial Structure

The International Journal of Management Science and Operations Research (IJMSOR) operates under a structured editorial framework designed to ensure scientific quality, transparency, and independence in editorial decision-making.

The journal follows a hierarchical and functional model that clearly defines roles, responsibilities, and control mechanisms at each stage of the editorial process.

The Editor-in-Chief is the highest editorial authority and is responsible for:

  • Defining the journal’s strategic direction and scientific scope
  • Making final decisions on manuscript acceptance or rejection
  • Ensuring compliance with editorial and ethical policies
  • Overseeing the quality and consistency of published content
  • Safeguarding editorial independence

Associate Editors / Section Editors

Associate Editors manage the editorial process within their respective areas. Their responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial manuscript screening (pre-check)
  • Selecting qualified reviewers
  • Managing the peer review process
  • Evaluating reviewers’ reports
  • Recommending decisions to the Editor-in-Chief

The Editorial Board consists of experienced academics who:

  • Advise on editorial policies
  • Support the development of the journal’s scope
  • Assist in identifying expert reviewers
  • Promote the journal’s visibility and internationalization

International Advisory Board

The International Advisory Board is composed of globally recognized experts who:

  • Provide strategic guidance
  • Strengthen the journal’s international positioning
  • Support global academic collaboration

Reviewers

Reviewers are subject-matter experts who participate in a double-blind peer review process. They are responsible for:

  • Providing objective and rigorous evaluations
  • Offering constructive feedback
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Declaring conflicts of interest

Editorial Decision Workflow

The editorial process follows a structured workflow:

  1. Initial editorial screening
  2. Reviewer assignment
  3. Double-blind peer review
  4. Evaluation of reports
  5. Editorial decision
  6. Publication

Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ reports and editorial criteria.

Editorial Independence

IJMSOR ensures that all editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, without influence from publishers, sponsors, or affiliated institutions.

Conflict of Interest Management

All editorial members and reviewers must disclose potential conflicts of interest. When necessary, an independent editor is assigned to ensure impartial evaluation.

Endogamy Control

The journal applies institutional and geographic diversity criteria to avoid concentration of authors from the publisher’s institution.

Authors affiliated with the publishing institution must not exceed 30% of the total number of authors per annual volume.
